Hi there participants of BLOG@NY!
We will judge your blogs at the end of this competition -
24 August, Wednesday.
(as in the organisers, us - an LA SIA group from 308)
Our rubrics is out of
60 marks. (this will be converted to 50%)
The following is the criteria which we will grade you on:
- Content (20 marks) (unique topics, refreshing and engaging blog posts, attractive to readers, content reflects blogger's personality well)
- Language (20 marks) (proficiency in language, personal voice, character shown through words, self-expression)
- Creativity (14 marks):
- Blog Design (creative and aesthetically-pleasing blog design, user friendly and clean layout, good effort put in)
- Media (wide range of media used, attracts and engages readers through creative and interesting use of media)
- Bonus marks (6 marks) for the more number of posts!
Our judging will make up 50% while votes from NY students and teachers contribute to the rest of the 50% of your total score.
The bloggers with the top scores will win(;

Hi there! Welcome to the homepage of BLOG@NY!
We are Xun Zhongxin, Ooi Shu Hui, Pan Sijia, Sharon Lam Ai Er and Zhao Keyi from NYGH Class 308.
We are organising this blogging competition as our Language Arts Student-Initiated Assignment (LA SIA) event.
Time: 27 July - 24 August
Registration: by 11 August (Thurs), 11pm (extended)

Guidelines
- You may create a new blog for this competition or use an existing blog
(but take note that it will be accessible to NY students and teachers).
- You should post on your blog at least twice every week.
- Content is up to you, you have freedom(:
- We may still provide some interesting suggestions on topics to blog about for you to expand your creativity on!
- You may also post in various formats, be creative! You can write, compose poems, post pictures, videos, links etc.
But each post should still have a short paragraph of writing at least.
- No expletives, coarse language or inappropriate content.

- Please take a look at the participants' blogs on the 'links' page- click on the star icon ★. (to be updated)
- NY students and teachers will be able to vote for the top blogs at the end of the competition!
(so even if you're not participating, do follow our competition updates for your interest and
read your schoolmates' blogs to know more about them!)
- Very attractive prizes are to be won! So please participate actively :D
